Drew’s boots does all leather, including the toe puff, shank, and heel. $379 to $700? , however all Mexican build, but very hardy looking. I believe the upper is 6 to 8 oz. They mold the arches of the insole, and mid-sole. Your reading of the leather structured toe puff reminded me of theirs. Definitely worth a look. That Horween brown with the more round toe bump is really nice.

I've always wanted a Viberg Svc boot. However, I wanted to go to Canada or a retailer to get sized. Hearing that the collapsed toe is no longer makes me avoid it. That was the draw for me.

Great video Dale. I always hear about Viberg changes over the years and see differences between the 2022 310 I bought and a late 2023 pair. It’s interesting to see how much changed with the 2030. That old box was dope.

Great to see the comparison of what has remained the same and what has changed Dale! Very in-depth and I will be curious how the new boots will fit overall compared to the old boots? Time will tell of course and at least CXL tends to be a gentle break in. For as large of a collection as you do have you most certainly put those old 2030's through their paces! May they find a great home with their new owner!

I got two pairs and both of them sqeaked within 25 miles.

1/2 size in Viberg is huge. I had to order and return a pair before i got it right. I'm 8D in Iron Ranger. A 7E in Viberg. Brooklyn Clothing has an exclusive on this captoe single stiching. They are the only ones you can get it from. Some other dealers have the BCT.

IMHO, the JLB have the way more balanced last and overall shape. The Renavgoods are out of proportion to me. Regarding the sizing: I would not say, go half down. I would rather claim: Go with your Red Wing, Alden, etc. size. I own two pairs of JLBs, the M-43 and the Engineers in natural CXL. Same size as my 875 Moctoes or Aldens. Toe box is snug and will require some work, but larger, these boots would have too roomy heels.

So here's my take. I would buy the Luosjiet $240 copy over the original $655 Alden. But I would spend the extra $120 and buy the original Redwing Iron Ranger at $360 over the $240 Luosjiet copy.

$655 is up there towards Nicks territory.....and heading toward Viberg. I agree I think it's a bit overpriced.

Because after watching the channel for 2 years now and I have 25 pairs of PNW and Grant stones in my collection my wife was going to divorce me over 25 pairs because I pay for my boots ! And what I seen and herd on the you tube you have 125-150 pairs Who is paying for all the boots that your showing because the cost is over $125 K in boots and you have a family what do u do for a living ? Or yours getting padded for the reviews the boots ?

Nice boot, engineer boots are pretty cool. My only gripe is the weight of the boots, that's why I mostly wear 6" service boots, don't need the extra weight. I may one day pick up a engineer boot only for casual use.

I absolutely love John Lofgrens I only hope to own a pair someday. They are my ultimate footwear piece. Though I will say I really like the decorative stitching on your boots much more. If I could get that on a pair of JL’s I would probably wet my pants. 😅

So I just got a pair of these for 25 % off, with leather soles. I'm shocked at how nice they are. The fit is roomy in the toes, the cxl looks really good, stitching is really good. The fit reminds me of trickers sort of, only with more room in the toe-box. I definitely like. I dunno if I'd go hiking in them, but they feel like an easy boot to just wear day-to-day.

How do you condition Shinki Horsehide? Do you just use Venetian on these? The depth of color is amazing

I just got these on the on sale section of the GS web page and wow! They’re perfect and well made like all my other GS pairs. This is my first Ottawa pair and I’m very impressed.

Vince is such a nice guy. I have purchased several pairs of Truman boots and I am not of the opinion that they were unpleasant to buy from. However I never felt appreciated. Considering their dedication to their product, I would think that they would invest some more in their relationship with their customers. After all when I wear their boots I am advertising for them. As it stands I will tell admirers that I love their product but dealing with them isn't wonderful. By contrast I've ordered some Gaziano & Girling Burnhams. Granted, way more expensive. But it seems to me that Vince's company could be just a tad more like G & G.

these actually look less nice to me than the regular IRs that I don't buy.
